Scholarship at NVPP
One of the goals of the NVPP is to collect on this website a considerable body of scholarship on haiku and related forms, including (but not limited to) tanka, senryu, haibun and renga.
We are also interested in works that address the dialogue between contemporary Western poetry and Japanese forms, Japonisme, the correlation between Japanese poetry and the visual arts (in both Japan and the West), and other topics.
We are interested in both new and previously-published scholarship.
Please query first with a short proposal or description of your manuscript. Please note that we do not wish to receive poetry submissions.
